What is Transmetrosexual? The phrase was coined here first. A play on Warren Ellis' comic books and the trendy phrase Metrosexual. DeFabio was accused (complimented?) of being a Metrosexual by his then girlfriend. Never one to fit a category 100%, he redefined the term.

A transmetrosexual is one so self possessed, so replete with cultural confidence that he can arrive in any given city and feel at home, even hip within its unique mores. In other words while a mere Metrosexual might achieve this status only on his home turf, the Transmetrosexual does not require the hometown advantages.
