BLAKE TO JUDGE: I WAS FRAMED.

LOS ANGELES - Actor Robert Blake presented new evidence in his own defense telling the Judge "Your Honor it only looked like I killed my wife. In actuality it was just some guy dressed up to look like me and frame me."

According to Blake the murderer wore a specially designed face mask with a cap to make him look like Blake. The attacker's clothing was selcted deliberately to invoke Blake's "signature appearance" in the words of Blake attorney Harland Braun.

Blake, 68, the star of the 1970s television series "Baretta," has been in jail since his arrest April 18. He is accused of shooting his wife of six months, Bonny Lee Bakley, 44, in the head as she sat in his car outside a Studio City restaurant last year.

Attorney Braun introduced into evidence the disguise (shown below) used by the alleged murderer. According to Blake the costume was found in the dumpster behind the restaurant where the crime took place.

BLAKE FREAKS OUT JUDGE

LOS ANGELES - In one of the most bizzarre moments of jurisprudence since OJ Simpson, actor Robert Blake threw a cell phone at the judge in court last Friday. Baliffs immediately restrained Blake as he shouted to the judge "I'm not really here. I'm at your house right now. Call there. I'll answer." The judge declined to place the call, instead charging Blake with contempt of court.
