W = Winner

Well despite the satirical skewerings on these very pages (which reached thousands of voters in red states, blue states and swing states) our befuddled President has been re-elected. A lot of people have been creating maps to show how this happened or what this means. We've collected a few of them here.

This one is from Matt Miller's article in Fortune Magazine.

Not that there's a solid correlation to voting patterns but the above shows the home states of our troops lost in the current Iraq war.

In case red state blue state didn't make things look bad enough. This is red county blue county.

It is leadership of the free world. Maybe the rest of the world should vote.

Unsure of the creator on this JesusLand one. It's going around in emails.

But lest we get too discouraged by the sharp divide between red and blue, just remember the purple mountains' majesty.
